FUNERAL SERVICES FOR GEORGE IFFT WERE HELD SUNDAY AFTERNOON FROM THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH AND INTERMENT WAS IN THE CHURCH CEMETERY. MR. IFFT PASSED AWAY LAST FRIDAY MORNING AT SEVEN O'CLOCK AT THE HOME OF MR. AND MRS. ELI STEIDINGER FOLLOWING A SEVERAL WEEKS ILLNESS. HE WAS AGED 81 YEARS; SIX MONTHS AND EIGHT DAYS.

MR. IFFT WAS BORN IN WALROTH, HESSEN GERMANY, JULY 4 1863. WHEN 18 YEARS OF AGE HE CAME TO AMERICA, AND ON APRIL 21 1884, HE WAS UNITED ON MARRIAGE TO SUSANNAH MILLER, OF CONGERVILLE. TO THEM WERE BORN MRS. MINNIE STEIDINGER, MARGARET, WILLIAM, OF STRAWN; JOHN, OF PEORIA; SAM, OF CROPSEY; MRS. SUSIE SCHLICK [SCHICK], OF ELGIN. MRS. IFFT PASSED AWAY DECEMBER 24 1893, AND IN APRIL 1895, HE WAS MARRIED TO SALOME SCHLIPF, OF PEORIA. SHE PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH IN SEPTEMBER 1897. ON NOVEMBER 25 1898, HE WAS MARRIED TO MARGARET HARI, OF FORREST. SHE SURVIVES TOGETHER WITH THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN BORN TO THIS UNION: MRS. SALOME FEHR, OF ROANOKE; MRS. BERTHA STEIDINGER, OF FORREST; FRED AND GEORGE, OF FAIRBURY; PAUL, OF FORREST; MRS. EDNA MUELLER, OF STRAWN. THERE ARE 48 GRANDCHILDREN.

MR. IFFT WAS A FARMER, WHICH OCCUPATION HE FOLLOWED FOR MANY YEARS, SOUTHEAST OF THIS CITY. HE RETIRED ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ONE WEEK BEFORE ON FRIDAY, FEB. 17.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT 10 A. M. MONDAY AT THE COOK FUNERAL HOME AND AT 10:30 A. M. AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN FORREST. BURIAL WAS IN THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY, INDIAN GROVE TOWNSHIP.

MR. IFFT WAS BORN NEAR STRAWN ON MAY 28, 1890, A SON OF GEORGE AND SUSAN [SUSANNAH] MILLER IFFT. HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROSE STEFFEN ON FEB. 16, 1916. THE COUPLE FARMED FOR MANY YEARS SOUTH OF TOWN BEFORE MOVING TO FAIRBURY ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. HIS WIFE DIED LAST JANUARY 7.

MARGARITHA, DAUGHTER OF FRED AND ELIZABETH (TREXOL) [(TREXEL)] HARI, WAS BORN AT FRUTIGA [FRUTIGEN], SWITZERLAND, APRIL 12TH, 1864, BEING AT THE TIME OF HER DEATH 83 YEARS AND TEN DAYS OF AGE.

WHEN 18 YEARS OF AGE SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES AND RESIDED NEAR FAIRBURY. ON NOVEMBER 25, 1898, SHE WAS MARRIED TO JOHN GEORGE IFFT IN FAIRBURY.

THEY LIVED ON FARM UNTIL 1931, WHEN THEY MOVED TO FAIRBURY. IN RECENT YEARS THEY HAD BEEN LIVING IN THE COUNTRY WITH THEIR CHILDREN. HER HUSBAND PRECEDED HER IN DEATH JANUARY 12, 1945.

JOHN TRAUB, A RESIDENT OF FAIRBURY AND VICINITY FOR 57 YEARS, DIED AT THE FAIRBURY HOSPITAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THREE O'CLOCK AT THE AGE OF 82 YEARS, ONE MONTH AND TWO DAYS.

MR. TRAUB WAS A NATIVE OF GERMANY, BEING BORN AT WURTTEMBERG, JULY 20TH, 1866. HE GREW TO YOUNG MANHOOD IN HIS NATIVE COUNTRY, COMING TO THE UNITED STATES IN 1891. SIX YEARS LATER HE LOCATED ON A FARM SOUTH OF FORREST.

MR. TRAUB WAS TWICE MARRIED, HIS FIRST MARRIAGE BEING TO MISS MARGARET IFFT, WHO PASSED AWAY IN 1903. ON JUNE 18, 1905, IN PEORIA, HE WAS MARRIED TO MISS KATHRYN BRENKMENN [BRENKMAN]. THEY CONTINUED TO MAKE THEIR HOME ON THE FARM SOUTH OF FORREST UNTIL JUNE, 1944, WHEN THEY MOVED TO 110 EAST ELM STREET IN THE CITY. MRS. TRAUB PASSED AWAY HERE AUGUST 28, 1947.

SURVIVING ARE FIVE CHILDREN: MRS. NAOMI FRANK AND MRS. MRS. NAOMI FRANK, 82, FORMER AREA WOMAN, DIES IN PEORIA

MRS. NAOMI FRANK, 82, OF DUNLAP AND FORMERLY OF FORREST, DIED AT 11:57 P.M. NOV. 26, AT PROCTOR HOSPITAL, PEORIA, WHERE SHE HAD BEEN A PATIENT SINCE NOV. 4.

SHE WAS BORN AUG. 2, 1898 AT FORREST, A DAUGHTER OF JOHN AND MARGARET IFFT TRAUB. SHE MARRIED CHRIS FRANK OCT. 4, 1923 IN PONTIAC.

HE SURVIVES, ALONG WITH ONE SON, RAYMOND OF DUNLAP, TWO GRANDCHILDREN, AND ONE GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY ONE BROTHER, BEN TRAUB OF FORREST AND TWO SISTERS, MRS. STAHL OF PEORIA AND MARGARET TRAUB OF SILVER LAKE, IND.

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF PRINCEVILLE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH WHERE SERVICES WERE HELD NOV. 29. BURIAL WAS IN THE CHURCH CEMETERY.

2. WILLIAM TRAUB 1900 - 1935

WILLIAM J. TRAUB

WILLIAM J. TRAUB PASSED AWAY AT 5 A. M., FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 1935, AT THE FAIRBURY HOSPITAL FOLLOWING A MAJOR OPERATION ON TUESDAY. THE FUNERAL WAS HELD AT 9:30 A. M., MONDAY, DECEMBER 30, AT THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CEMETERY.

HE WAS A SON OF JOHN AND MARGARET TRAUB, AND WAS BORN TWO MILES SOUTH OF FORREST, MARCH 6, 1900.

HE LEAVES, BESIDES HIS PARENTS, THREE BROTHERS, EDWARD AND BEN, AT HOME, AND JOHN JR., OF FAIRBURY; THREE SISTERS, MRS. NAOMI FRANK, OF DUNLAP; MARY, WHO WAS HIS HOUSEKEEPER, FOUR AND A HALF MILES SOUTH OF FORREST, ON A FARM, AND MARGARET, AT HOME.

3. JOHN TRAUB JR. 1901 - 1941

JOHN TRAUB, JR., DIED TUESDAY EVENING

JOHN TRAUB, JR., LIFETIME RESIDENT OF THIS COMMUNITY, PASSED AWAY ON TUESDAY EVENING AT 10 O'CLOCK AT THE FAIRBURY HOSPITAL. HIS CONDITION HAD BEEN SERIOUS FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

MR. TRAUB WAS BORN JULY 16, 1901, IN FORREST, SON OF JOHN AND MARGARET (IFFT) TRAUB. HE ATTENDED RURAL SCHOOLS AND WAS MARRIED TO MARY ZEHR IN FAIRBURY DECEMBER 22, 1929. THEY LIVED FOR A YEAR ON A FARM NEAR STRAWN AND THEN MOVED TO THE PRESENT FARM HOME A SHORT DISTANCE WEST OF TOWN. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

BESIDES HIS WIDOW, MR. TRAUB IS SURVIVED BY HIS FATHER AND THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN: HARVEY, DOROTHY, RUTH, JUNIOR, EVELYN, MARJORIE, IDA LU [LOU], KATHRYN, ALL AT HOME.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED AT 9 A.M. TODAY FROM HIS HOME, AND AT 10 O'CLOCK FROM THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN THIS CITY. BURIAL WILL BE IN GRACELAND CEMETERY.
