FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. HELEN SCHAFFER, AGED 89 YEARS, WHO DIED AT 7:30 P.M. TUESDAY AT THE HOME OF HER SON, PETER, AT 410 NORTH FOURTH STREET.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE HOME AT 9:30 A. M. FRIDAY AND AT THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH AT 10 A. M. BURIAL WILL BE AT EAST GRACELAND CEMETERY.

MRS. SCHAFFER WAS BORN MAY 15, 1864, AT MACKWILLER, FRANCE, THE DAUGHTER OF GEO. AND MARGARET GERBER BAUER. SHE WAS MARRIED IN FRANCE IN 1882 TO PETER SCHAFFER.

MR. SCHAFFER DIED IN 1892. MRS. SCHAFFER, AND HER SON PETER CAME TO THIS COUNTRY IN 1895 AND LIVED AT CISSNA PARK BEFORE MOVING TO THE FAIRBURY COMMUNITY IN 1904.

SURVIVING ARE THE SON, NINE GRANDCHILDREN, AND 22 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. A DAUGHTER DIED IN INFANCY.

ANNA ROTH 1888 - 1980

SUNDAY RITES FOR LIFE-LONG RESIDENT, ANNA ROTH, 92

ANNA ROTH, 92, DIED AT 6:30 P. M. FRIDAY, AT FAIRVIEW HAVEN NURSING HOME, FAIRBURY WHERE SHE LIVED 13 YEARS.

HER FUNERAL WAS SUNDAY AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH, WITH CHURCH MINISTERS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY. DUFFY-PILS MEMORIAL HOME, FAIRBURY, WAS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.

SHE WAS BORN JAN. 8, 1888, IN FAIRBURY, A DAUGHTER OF SAMUEL AND MARGARET (SCHINI) ROTH.

A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF THE AREA, MISS ROTH WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

SURVIVING ARE FIVE BROTHERS, SAMUEL, MORTON; JOSEPH, PEORIA; BEN, GLENDALE, CALIF.; JOHN, FAIRBURY; AND HARRY, PHOENIX, ARIZ.

FOUR SISTERS PRECEDED HER IN DEATH.

ANNA STEFFEN, 91, OF PEORIA AND FORMERLY OF FAIRBURY, DIED AT 11:16 P.M. SATURDAY AT APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN HOME, PEORIA, WHERE SHE MADE HER RESIDENCE.

HER FUNERAL WILL BE AT 10 A.M. TUESDAY AT APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH, FAIRBURY, WITH CHURCH MINISTERS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY, RURAL FAIRBURY.

VISITATION WILL BE FROM 4:30 TO 8 P.M. TODAY AT DUFFY-PILS MEMORIAL HOME, FAIRBURY, AND FROM 9 TO 10 A.M. TUESDAY AT THE CHURCH.

SHE WAS BORN AUG. 6, 1898, IN CROPSEY, A DAUGHTER OF CONRAD AND KATHERINE HARI STEFFEN.

SURVIVING ARE ONE BROTHER, BEN STEFFEN, FAIRBURY; AND ONE SISTER, KATHRYN STEFFEN, PEORIA.

SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE BROTHER AND TWO SISTERS.

MRS. STEFFEN WAS A MEMBER OF APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH. SHE HAD LIVED HER LIFETIME IN THE FAIRBURY AND CROPSEY AREA.

ANNA GERBER 1875 - 1952

SERVICES FOR MISS GERBER HELD MONDAY

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MISS ANNA GERBER, WHO PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME HERE ON FRIDAY MORNING AT TEN O’CLOCK AT THE AGE OF 76 YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND TWO DAYS, WERE HELD FROM THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH MONDAY MORNING AT TEN O’CLOCK. INTERMENT WAS IN GRACELAND CEMETERY. MISS GERBER’S DEATH FOLLOWED AN EXTENDED ILLNESS.

MISS GERBER HAD RESIDED IN THIS COMMUNITY ALL HER LIFE. SHE WAS BORN SOUTH OF FAIRBURY IN BELLE PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP, JULY 6, 1875, AND HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF THIS CITY FOR THE PAST 32 YEARS. HER PARENTS WERE CHRISTIAN AND BARBARA (ROTH) GERBER.

SURVIVORS ARE TWO SISTERS, MISS LYDIA GERBER AND MRS. KATIE SCHAFFER, BOTH OF FAIRBURY; ONE BROTHER , CHRIS, OF FAIRBURY, AND 17 NIECES AND NEPHEWS. ALSO SURVIVING ARE MRS. TILLIE WANNER GERBER, OF ROCKVILLE, CONN., AND MRS. SARAH WANNER BAER, OF DUNLAP, WHO WERE GIVEN A HOME IN THE GERBER HOME SINCE YOUTH.

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

CATHERINE "KATIE" (HARI) STEFFEN 1869 - 1952

MRS. STEFFEN, 83, DIES AT CROPSEY

MRS. CATHERINE STEFFEN, AGED 83, DIED LAST WEDNESDAY AT HER HOME IN CROPSEY. SHE HAD BEEN ILL SINCE NOVEMBER 1950. FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD SATURDAY AT 9:00 A. M. AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN FAIRBURY. INTERMENT WAS IN THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CEMETERY.

MRS. STEFFEN WAS BORN MARCH 12, 1869, IN BERN, SWITZERLAND, A DAUGHTER OF FREDERICK AND ELIZABETH TROXEL HARI. SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES WHEN SHE WAS 13 AND LIVED WITH HER FAMILY FIRST AT FAIRBURY.

HER HUSBAND PASSED AWAY IN 1922. IN 1937 SHE MOVED TO CROPSEY. SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, WALTER, OF FAIRBURY AND BEN, OF CROPSEY; FOUR DAUGHTERS, MISS ANNA, MISS MARY, MISS TILLIE AND MISS KATHRYN STEFFEN, ALL AT HOME; AND TWO GRANDCHILDREN, WALTER LEE AND KATHLEEN ANN STEFFEN. ALSO SURVIVING ARE TWO SISTERS, MRS. MARY LEUTOLD AND MRS. ROSA ROTH, AND A BROTHER, GOTTLIEB HARI, ALL OF FAIRBURY.

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH

MARGARET "MAGGIE" IFFT 1887 - 1971

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MISS MARGARET IFFT, 83, FAIRBURY, WERE HELD MONDAY, APR. 26, 1971, AT THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH IN FORREST. INTERMENT WAS IN GRACELAND CEMETERY, FAIRBURY. COOK FUNERAL HOME WAS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.

SHE WAS BORN DEC. 7, 1887, AT ROANOKE, A DAUGHTER OF GEORGE AND SUSAN MILLER IFFT.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY FOUR BROTHERS, WILLIAM, FRED AND GEORGE, FAIRBURY; PAUL, FORREST; FOUR SISTERS, MRS. SUSIE SCHICK, ELGIN; MRS. SALOME FEHR, EUREKA; MRS. BERTHA STEIDINGER, FORREST; AND MRS. EDNA MUELLER, STRAWN.

SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO BROTHERS AND A SISTER.

ROSA (HARI) ROTH 1871 - 1965

HOLD RITES ON WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. ROTH

SERVICES WERE HELD AT 10 A. M. WEDNESDAY AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH FOR MRS. ROSA ROTH, 94. BURIAL WAS AT THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY. VISITATION WAS HELD FROM 2 TO 9 P. M. TUESDAY AT THE COOK FUNERAL HOME, FAIRBURY, AND AFTER 9 A. M. ON WEDNESDAY AT THE CHURCH.

MRS. ROTH DIED AT 7 A. M. MONDAY , MAY 31, 1965, AT FAIRBURY HOSPITAL AFTER AN ILLNESS OF TWO WEEKS. SHE HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF FAIRVIEW HAVEN REST HOME FOR TWO YEARS.

SHE WAS BORN IN BERN, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 15, 1871, A DAUGHTER OF FRED AND ELIZABETH TROXELL HARI, SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES WHEN SHE WAS 11 YEARS OLD. SHE MARRIED SAMUEL L. ROTH IN FAIRBURY IN 1898. THEY LIVED ON A FARM SOUTH OF HERE UNTIL 1936, WHEN THEY MOVED TO FAIRBURY.

SURVIVING ARE FIVE SONS, SAM, MORTON; JOE, PEORIA; BEN, GLENDALE, CALIF.; JOHN, FAIRBURY; HARRY, FORREST; TWO DAUGHTERS, MISS CATHERINE ROTH AND MISS ANNA ROTH, BOTH OF FAIRBURY; 14 GRANDCHILDREN AND NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, THREE DAUGHTERS, THREE BROTHERS AND FOUR SISTERS.

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
